How does your store ring up an iced cappuccino?(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by BlueWaters99
This is a constant debate in my store. Iced cappuccino??!??
First how does your store ring them up? We either do (examples:)
double shot espresso, iced, in grande cup, 1/2” milk, cold foam (with nonfat milk)?
Or we are ringing it as hot cappuccino with “Iced” in Ask Me,
or we ring it up as an iced latte with cold foam. Ugh!
Also… when you make it do you put the shots first? Or over the ice? Doesn’t it melt the ice and become watery when you pour over the ice?
I usually put shots first then ice, then milk to 2nd lines, then the rest cold foam.
Customers in our store order this drink and Starbucks keeps taking away the method of ringing this up. I believe “cold foam” identifier will be gone from register soon.

They keep taking it away because we're not meant to make it. Iced Cappuccino is what Tim Horton's calls their Frappuccinos and they're a competitor. So we just don't.
But you could also just do an iced latte and explain its literally the same thing. Maybe less milk and more ice?

IIRC the old recipe card was basically just an iced latte with the old school nonfat cold foam on top

You remember correctly

We do an iced latte with cold foam.

That’s too easy. Just do a doppio and fill to the top with non fat cold foam……….it’ll be a cursed drink…

We just ring it in as a hot cappuccino with “iced” in the ask me. Then I believe the correct way to make is is shots, then ice to the top, milk to the middle line, and non fat foam to the top.

Last I heard, the standard way to ring up an iced cappuccino was an iced latte with regular cold foam. There was a partner update back in 2020

I always explain why that's not possible because of what a cappuccino is and ask if they want an iced latte. Usually they just take the iced latte. They probably didn't even know what they were ordering to begin with. If they're not happy with that I guess I'd offer sweet cream foam or something.

We ring it as a regular cappuccino with "iced" in the Ask Me.
Recipe for posterity's sake, because we LOVE making it at my store and I know others are going to come across this again:
1/2/3 shots for an iced drink
2% to the bottom fill line
Ice to the top fill line
Nonfat cold foam to the top
(nonfat cf is going to be 150 ml of nonfat milk in the cold foam pitcher, 2 pumps of vanilla, blended on 4)
