day two of not getting a truck order, not sure how much longer we are going to make it 🧟🧟♂️🧟♀️(self.starbucksbaristas)

we have not gotten an order in two days and i’m now fully convinced that no one can use their customer eyes to read signs.
them *looks at 5 signs that says no breakfast or lunch food items, no venti/trenta iced cups, etc etc* yeah so can i have a double smoked bacon and trenta iced coffee?
me:👁👄👁
NO DUDE. NO. PLS USE YOUR CUSTOMER EYES.

I’m convinced a lot of people can’t read

They can't. We put up a sign near our handoff, since we keep mobiles behind the bar, that said "hey we keep mobiles back here and we're pretty busy so plz tell us you're picking up kthx." And every single day, dozens of sentient ambulatory vegetation would just stand right in front of that sign and stare at us and say nothing whatsoever. And of course there's the nightly people who pull on our locked door after close, look right at the hours sign right next to the door elucidating our closed status, and proceed to walk around and try the other door. Those are my favourites personally because there are few greater joys in my life than telling people to go away xP

This happened with the Unicorn frapp. We sold out in a day and a half so we put signs on both entrances and in front of both registers and people still asked if we had it
BlooperBoo3 points1y ago
We have one bathroom with a door in very clear view of the registers. Every. Single. God. Damn. Day.
“Do I need a code for the bathroom?”
Im sorry do you see a keypad because there is very clearly no keypad

I love watching people try to open the locked doors :’) especially when there’s a sign saying the lobby is closed and we’re drive thru only. And they still stare at you through the window.

our store had no running water and we put a sign that said “only food items today” and i lost count of how many people were like “do you guys have refreshers?”… “no.” … “oh so i cant even get a water?”
astivana36 points1y ago
You should definitely have been closed with no running water D:
highspeed0619 points1y ago
why open?? how did you wash your hands?? that doesn’t seem right at all.
venusiangirl16 points1y ago
no running water is a food safety violation and health hazard wtf… you cant clean anything not even your hands you absolutely should have closed. this company is ridiculous

Should’ve been an anonymous whistle blower to your local health department.

the worst is we’ll read it to them. like they order a sandwich we don’t have and i say sorry we don’t have that and list the two that we do actually have and then almost every customer goes “do you have *insert sandwich you didn’t list*?” like ???? you can’t read, you can’t listen, what Can you do ?
Brgnbo4 points1y ago
We had a sign of all of the sandwiches we didn’t have and I swear people would order every sandwich on it before finally asking for something different.
Or we’d get people like “can I get the reduced fat breakfast sandwich?” No we don’t have that today anything else? “Oh ok I’ll just get the turkey bacon sandwich” like .. sir.. did you even know what you were asking for before?

I’m at a store in California. Governor put into place a law where we can’t just hand out or ask if someone wants a single use plastic item. There’s signs everywhere explaining the law and what exactly the single use plastic in question is. Still get asked what single use plastic is or given attitude for not automatically giving them a straw or fork or whatever. Like read dude?? Not hard.
