Going to be honest, I’ve never seen anyone have 40 hours except managers or assistant managers. Max I’ve seen is exactly 35. But because Starbucks seems to be cutting hours everywhere, being at 35 sounds like a miracle for many currently. So I’m going to assume yes, Starbucks is strict with hours. What you can do is pick up shifts from other stores or ask your partners for theirs. That’s pretty much it.

I completely agree with this⬆️ I haven’t seen close to 40 in over a year

hey I send you message, can you check it?

Especially if you close, if you’re scheduled for 40 hours then you might end up hitting OTP accidentally (maybe you agree to work through a 30, etc etc). Not worth it for Starbucks & therefore they don’t push that limit.

I’m in the US, but getting over 30 hours on the schedule as a barista is rare. SSVs typically get between 30-40, but even then they are strict about SSVs not going over 40 unless they have to
