I think this was likely a customer who loudly and rudely specified "no water, no NOTHING" and DTO was feeling spiteful.

Just being silly, I would imagine! They probably should’ve removed the sticker before handing it out or let you in on the joke though.

Most likely this. I used to do this when a customer was being unnecessarily particular about components that weren’t even in the drink.

From my past experience. It's usually with a customer that's really particular and no matter how many times you tell them dragon fruit inclusions don't go in their Strawberry Acai they'll still be like "well one time ____ happened so you need to make sure they don't" and will get angry if it's not on the sticker.
I had a couple customers like that over the two stores I worked at. Really annoying sometimes but if it keeps them from yelling or getting angry at the window because I didn't put it on the sticker, it's worth it because they'll most likely just grab the drink and go with no complaints.

Lol but this was a drive thru so the barista pressed the buttons. Whether they did it at the direction of the customer or whether they just did it themselves to be goofy and joke or mess around with the partner on bar, its funny lolol

I’ve made my own drink sticker with “no” of EVERY item and you can make a sticker almost the size of a treinta cup. Good prank to play on your bar person lmao
