Me and the other partners are having a debate about pup cups(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by miketwister007
Okay so we just had a customer come through our DT and get a pup cup for themselves, no doggo. I decided to not charge for it cause I'm not charging for a dog and its a tall size. My other partners think we should charge. What do y'all think???? And if you do charge what do you do cause I still have no idea lol.

At our store there’s no way to charge, and we put ours in sample cups regardless of who it’s for (our ssvs say it’s cause it doesn’t account for our cups type of thing)

This right here is the right way! If they order a pup cup they get a pup cup free of charge because there's a button for it but they can't get anything larger than a a sample cup.

Sometimes I leave the pup at home and bring home a pup cup as a surprise for her!

Random question, are you allowed to give pup cups in bigger sizes? I had some guy come in and get a pup cup (I gave it to him in the sample cup, filled all the way and then some) and he got pissed off saying it wasn’t enough for his dog. Like ???? I don’t think you need to be giving your dog a venti cup of whip cream but that’s just me.

Well, it’s free so….I hate people like this! Just be happy with what you get!

We have a regular who always asks for a “large” pup cup because he has a big dog and I simply don’t do it.

they probably wanted it for themselves but were to embarrassed to ask for a cup of whip cream lol😭

We have ppl all the time get pup cups but no doggos and it’s no problem. If we have someone insist on getting a bigger cup than the sample cup we charge as a heavy cream cold milk. We used to have ppl as for drizzles on them too and yes we charged for that as well.
