in my experience, you’re definitely not responsible for finding coverage if you’re sick. also, i believe you’re not even supposed to be at work if you’re still having symptoms 5 days after testing positive. i had covid in may and that’s how they explained it to me. i’m not sure where you would find this information but hopefully someone else can lead you to finding it so you’re not getting in trouble or fired for something that is not your fault or responsibility. i had an something similar happen to me when i first started where i was sick and wasn’t sure how to find coverage only to realize that i didn’t even have to and they wrote me up for it. i wouldn’t want to see that happen to someone else.

I'm so sorry to hear this! First thing's first: getting your shifts covered when you're sick is never your problem.

The best thing to do is get in contact with Sedgewick, they'll get you on medical leave as soon as they get the paperwork done. I also suggest contacting your region manager or district manager too, because your Store Manager should not be treating partners like that and do not have any right to have you come in while you're testing positive. Tbh if you really want to pursue it, you could probably get a lawyer for this. Also if there's other Starbucks nearby, consider transferring to one with a better enviroment.

I hope you heal soon!

How do I find out my district or regional managers contact information?

Usually they have cards out with the district managers name and number in the lobby! When I got hired I got a paper with store manager and district managers number on it as well. I also second to call Sedgwick and get on a leave. Just keep on them to make sure you’re still on leave because I did that and long story short I was audited out of the system and had to go through the PCC and wait 2 months to get my job back
