Can I work at 2 different Starbucks? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by i2abe1a
My manager had to cut hours at my store due to food sales being stupidly low. I’m thinking of applying to work at another store to get more hours & it’s close to my house since I don’t drive and depend on my bike to get me to work. Does anyone have any experience with this? I know stores borrow partners but can I work at both stores (if I get hired) at the same time? To clarify, I would have different availabilities- obviously.

No, this isn’t something that is done. Stores may share a barista for a limited amount of time when stores are short staffed until they hire up. The only time I’ve known of two different Starbucks being home stores to the same barista was a partner that worked for a licensed store and a corporate one. You are better off going to other stores with your availability and letting them know you are willing to pick up shifts as a borrowed partner.

This. You would also need to get approval if you’re going to hit overtime.

you can ask another location to be a borrowed partner. this would essentially allow you to see the shifts given up on the app, and u can request to be scheduled a certain day or two of the week as well
