i hate when people order things the complete opposite from how i need to ring it in. like i know it’s not really their fault because they don’t know how we do it on our end, but especially when they’re like almond milk no foam extra shot …. and then say latte or shaken espresso or whatever at the end. or like can i get a strawberry açaí? and then ask if it can be with lemonade 😐

Tbf there is one store I go to sometimes that mixes up cold and hot bar pumps, and I’ll either get 7 (large) pumps of vanilla or 4 (large). It’s coffee roulette.

I had a lady that refused to call her double tall latte a double latte, because she wanted 2 shots poured separately. Like that makes a big difference.

Do people really order “double latte”? I would then be asking them do you want that as a hot grande or hot venti latte? I wouldn’t be thinking “double tall latte”.

Yep. We get double tall lattes by a few regular customers. It’s when customers cut off part of the order to try to order faster? If they say double latte I would assume grande or venti. Lol.

Got yelled at by a customer during handoff, they immediately questioned me "um, did you make that drink correctly?" It was a nitro, extra sweet cream, stirred... they wanted nitro with sweet cream on the bottom & then on the top, stirred... I just don't get it.

it's because for many many decades and a long tradition you could order at coffee shops around the world a "single" or a "double" espresso. There was no triple. You can even see it in our order system since the double is called a Doppio.

There is always the people that want things poured a certain way or stare at you as you are making the drink and are controlling the ice or the milk. Ugh. Just order it how you like it and leave the rest to us.🙄
