My favorite is when they mobile order and then say it was supposed to be iced when the sticker says otherwise

One lady had once ordered a drink and when I handed it to her at the handoff, she said "this was supposed to be iced. I guess i didnt say that huh"....umm noo u didnt say that. And just cuz you thought it in your head that you wanted it to be iced doesn't mean that that's what it was "supposed" to be.

I was on DTO and some dude asked for an Americano and I was like “would you like that hot?” and he said “yeah”. Then at the window he was like “oh this is supposed to be iced but I think I didn’t say that” like wtffff

this happened to me today!! and since i'm still training I figured I HAD to be in the wrong but my coworkers came up to me afterwards and reassured me it was not asked as iced, I felt so relieved

THAT HAPPENED TO ME TODAY BUT with a hot latte and pike place, I hand out a venti pike she looks so mad and so “ugh this was supposed to be grande” and I was like I can fix that for you and she was like no it’s fine it’s fine, a few moments later I had a venti vanilla latte out she does the same thing and looks disgusted and also says “I need this is a grande” and repeats the order so I get my shift to void it and all that the difference was .86 cents which like it’s not like a hot venti latte is that much different literally one extra pump of syrup and some extra milk like you’re fine -_- and if there was an actual issue (sugar intake or actual problems of other sorts) don’t be an ass and put your hand on your head and shake it like it’s the worse thing to happen to you in the world… the barista on drive literally said she said venti as well (which is why she started making them as ventis to get ahead) it was just extremely rude & uncalled for I would’ve given her a dollar to not have had to go through all that, not to mention she barely could look up when she was ordering so that could’ve been where the miscommunication was (even tho she said venti) THIS is also why I wish Starbucks never did anything but small med large, like I love it but they don’t go out of their way to explain it on any menus/signs in the store or in drive
