Yea its literally earned sick time so they cant fire u if ur on ur way out already lol personally I have a lot of sick time because I rarely ever call out and i tried calling out the other week cuz i had a painful lump on my ankle that i saw the doctor for and she thinks its tendonitis or a stress fracture. When i noticed it, i let my manager know that i am in a lot of pain stepping on that ankle and it was a sunday that i tried to call out cuz i had off monday and had a doctor appointment on a tuesday and i told my manager that i cant step on it without excruciating pain and my manager said "ur best bet is to contact *coworker* to see if they can come in a few hours earlier" and that was literally it. No other communication besides that. Mind u the second and last time that i had called out was last spring/summer and i have been there for a little over 2 years. Like i want to use my sick time because its needed and i earned it. How can u not allow it if i never ever call out
