Has anyone else’s store had someone try and claim we spiked their drinks cause for the past week or so we have had this lady who gets a chai tea latte and almost every freaking day she says we spike it with alcohol or we put cold brew in it even if she watches us do it and now she’s like planting stuff in old cups claiming we put it in there. This has happened for maybe a week straight and like this isn’t the first time she’s caused problems she’s been banned and had the cops called on her at another store and a store close to me barely lets her come in anymore like this lady is cracked out I swear. Threatened to call Seattle today so kinda hope that’s true so she can get her assed laughed at.

My manager put in a incident report before she could call corporate. Don’t know what’s gonna happen with that but everyone in the store wants her banned thankfully I’m on vacation so I don’t have to deal with it for two weeks😂😂

Yes!! I wish more people knew. I mention it all the time to people I work with and they just act like I’m stupid 🤠 like bestie get off your high horse and check. A grande has 95mg of caffeine 🙃

Definitely not a psych or a doctor by any means, but her case plus my own anecdotal experience, I could see this being something that *started* "normal" and because of mental illness, has spiraled into something massive for her.
There are many many many times where I will order a Chai Latte from somewhere, and it just happens to taste a tiny bit like coffee. It's weird, I don't know how to explain it, but it just happens sometimes. It's almost like a burnt taste to the chai that makes it taste like it's got coffee in it. And it isn't really specific to anything, I've had this happen with Dunkin, Wawa, Sheetz, and small mom & pop shops.
It would totally make sense if she had that same kind of experience, but it was exacerbated by mental illness. Obviously not that it justifies her planting stuff in it and accusing y'all, but y'know. I would honestly just try to have her banned, especially if you know she has a history at other stores.

It’s probably because parts of the pump don’t get washed fully and contain some level of frap roast residue which is pretty strong and nasty on its own lol.

Honestly, she may simply be trying to get free drinks. Or she may be struggling mentally. Hard to say but hopefully she finds whatever she needs in life.

I will say the Chai syrup can ferment and bubble in the Summer. Basically turns into a mild Chai kombucha.

This. I’m an avid chai drinker. I can usually tell when the pump hasn’t been cleaned well or it’s been sitting out on the counter longer than the allowable 24 hours. It gets really floral.

We had a lady come in just ordering trenta cups of whipped cream - SM told her she would need to be charged for ordering a trenta cup of cold milk (cream) with vanilla syrup. The woman threw a fit about WC is free. So she started buying bistro boxes opening them and trying to return with random other food inside. We were told to refuse. So she started blocking the dumpsters with her car. Police called she left. She came in the drive thru passed by the DTO without answering and demanded a receipt for an order hours before. She refused to leave the drive thru so police were called and we had 30+ min wait times - she drove off as she saw police. Police ended up speaking with her and she was banned from the store. Then this other customer started coming in whispering stuff like “you know it’s a crime to falsely accuse people”….

Had a similar thing happen at my store a couple of years ago. Guy already banned from a neighboring store would claim we were poisoning his pour-over which he would make us do over 2-3 times during rush. Quote "You are being like Putin, you are poisoning my coffee". District Manager ended up banning him, kept coming in, called the cops, restraining order, whole deal.
