Not Starbucks but this happened a lot at a skating rink I worked at so we had to make our tip jar a lock box with a slot on top and a sign on it saying “tips” so people could put money in but only we could take it out

When you get a tip put it in a jar on the other side of bar only leave coins so ppl know it’s a tip jar. Take larger bills out keep the tip jar further back so ppl know you can tip (you can move it forward when they do wanna tip) and far enough back so they done steel it

I tried that today and some lady stole all the coins </3

Maybe just put “tip jar” and leave it blank I only say coins bc ppl put their trash in ours

Every time u get a bill, put it in the tip bag. Losers most likely won’t steal coins and if they do, hide them coins too.

i’d say recommend to your shift to drop tips early on and make a habit of doing it frequently, once an hour maybe. it’s a lot of extra work but keeps them secure

We have a tip bag set aside and will remove bills and coins from our tip jars throughout the day and add it to our tip bag. That way the tip jars don’t look too full and people won’t try to take money out of it. Just make sure to remove money from the tip jars throughout the day

every time you notice there’s quite a bit of money in there take it in and exchange it and leave like one dollar and some change so people know it’s still a tip jar
