okay so I can comfortably batch 3 venti fraps, which is 6 talls. I could probably get a 7th tall in there if I really tried.

140 / 7 = 20 batches

Yeah we only started preparing the order once the guy came in to pay, and we were sure he was serious. Turns out it was for a company event, so they needed a lot but Im still surprised they didn’t think to plan this with us a couple days ahead

Nothing against you guys, but if I were in that company I would appreciate a $5 SBux gift card rather than a drink that isn't much cold anymore (depending on the weather).

Also, I'm lactose intolerant.

How does these companies order anyway? We have 190 people, just order 190 frappes? Do they ask the employees if they want this drink? There might be people who are allergic to coffee or don't want to drink coffee at certain hours of the day because it screws up with their routines etc?

Again, I have nothing against OP or any baristas or SBUX, I just have a genuine question. I see from time to time orders this big with same drinks.

me personally, i wouldn’t do this. esp since my store is high volume. i would have to get everyone out and close the store as well as shutting off mobile and uber eats orders, make those fraps, and then open the store back up. it may not be allowed but listen it’s hard out here

Yea same.. my store is the highest volume store in my town. But people also like to order 4-10 drinks in the drive thru. While we have a line up going around the entire building of cars. Plus the cafe will have customers lined out the door... and even the cafe customers are ordering 4-10 drinks... so if someone ordered 140, nah, we couldn't.

Last summer we had a camp come through and place about 140 drinks (they told us a week in advanced), they ordered 30 ish at a time every 30 mins and at the END OF IT ALL.
They didnt even tip… and they ended up LEAVING a total of 20 of their drinks and then complaining even though we set up a separate god damned table just for their drinks.

Why are you guys taking orders over the phone? Every store I’ve ever worked at has had a “no phone orders” rule, if someone tried to do that we would tell them that if they want to order ahead they can use the app. The only exception would be like a traveler or cambro. If you don’t have the app too bad? Or download it? I dunno.

Yeah taking that order over the phone is a hell no for me. I've had people call in and never showed up. I'm not doing all that work unless they came in the day before and prepaid.
