I thought you were implying it was all of the macchiatos until I remembered the sandwich lol

"the majority live in or traveled to florida" of course it was florida lmfao i got diphtheria in florida in 2017 so this tracks

Florida sucks. I live here so I can say that.
MrsClaireUnderwood 3 points 1y ago
I don't live there but I'm also justified in saying it.
ryzzostar 5 points 1y ago
Anyone who's been here that didn't move here can say that. Anyone who's moved here from another state because we have warm weather all year round and no snow and then wants to complain about traffic and crowding can get bent. Lol.

How...
soundfanatic 5 points 1y ago
i had lapsed on my DPT vaccine by a few months without realizing, and i came into contact with someone who was sick lol
Aliciarox11189 3 points 1y ago
So this is probably a dumb assumption but when I first started traveling I was told that was only really common overseas in "underdeveloped" places like so places of Africa and India (obv the world changes). But that is where they really recommend the vaccine for
soundfanatic 1 points 1y ago
the DPT vaccine is pretty standard for most people in the US so there's a bit of herd immunity going on, but given that florida is a popular tourist destination, plus our lack of a functioning healthcare system...... it was kind of a perfect storm

just look at how we handled the pandemic, the corporate backed government left millions to die and become permanently disabled over the past 3 years

it's not super surprising, considering the US is a third world country

I dont think so. According to the CDC most of these cases originated over the past month, and the sandwich hasn't been out that long.

Good point, just wondered how precise that was. No good either way

I love that its “no known origin” when you can literally pick anywhere and probably be correct with the amount of times per year lettuce alone is recalled😂

lol

there were onions from florida i think? that were recalled from 2 major grocery chains in at least 5 states bc of listeria
