… I really like the complicated drinks, because then i’m not doing mental gymnastics trying to figure out how many shots/pumps/etc go into the drink.

But u shouldn't have to do mental gymnastics to figure out how many pumps or shots or whatever go into the non complicated drinks. The recipes are what they are so baristas can make the drinks correctly with the amount of shots and amount of pumps or scoops. Do u feel this way because ur a green bean and havent been making drinks for long? Because u should feel comfortable when making drinks so u wont have to do mental gymnastics to figure out the amount of shots and pumps the standard menu drinks get

I just am trying to say i dont want u to be stressed out in doing mental gymnastics to try to figure out drinks. If you have any questions please feel free to ask your coworkers because they should by all means kindly answered any questions that you may have!

Aw well dont get stressed out or worry if ur only about 2 days in! U will get it in time and dont be afraid to ask as many questions as u want

You are not at all slowing anybody down! And everybody at one point or another was exactly where you are at right now. They all needed help at some point. They all had questions at some point. So whenever you have a question about how many shots or how many syrups, definitely do not hesitate to ask because no question is stupid because everybody is going to want to help you I feel comfortable to make customers drinks correctly so as mistakes are completely okay to make and you learn from them, still do not be afraid to ask any questions at all because I always tell every new person that comes to my store to never be afraid to ask me any questions no matter how busy it is

as a fellow green bean of a month, i agree to an extent. I’m still learning how to make the base drinks so when they say a base drink i try and recall the amount of pumps/shots and what syrups go into them, and then they change things and its listed out of order sometimes like it’ll say “caramel macchiato soy 3 shots sf vanilla blonde upsidedown” and it makes it confusing trying to think of the base drink but then changing it

yeah! like when people order extra shots or pumps, that way it tells you exactly how much to put in. of course i’m working on memorizing it all, but it’s nice to see the amounts sometimes lol
