I had a jerk of a customer a few days ago who wanted an horchata espresso and refused to give me the ingredients. Just kept ordering it as the horchata. I finally get him to show me the drink recipe (that was on the same screen he was on!😡) and it was a shaken espresso with brown sugar, oatmilk, cinnamon, and a few other pumps of random things so I charged him for the bso instead of the shaken like he was trying to order just bc I was mad at that point lmao. If he hadn’t been so rude his $11 drink would’ve been like $8-9

yup yup i noticed while on drive through one day that the shaken espresso alone, even with added milk like soy or oat is still way cheaper than the toasted van or brown sugar shaken espresso. jeez

It's the same with and iced flat white, but opposite. If you order an iced flat white its cheaper than ordering an iced latte with an extra shot. They need new people higher up the ladder

This works for flavored lattes and caramel macchiatos too, only in the Venti size though. The caramel macchiato is like 30 cents cheaper. So when I want a venti iced vanilla latte I order an upside down caramel macchiato with no caramel drizzle and one extra pump of vanilla.

Almost any drink is cheaper if you don’t order the standard name. Same with something as simple as a white mocha. Order a late, add white mocha, add whip. It will be around 30 cents cheaper.

Order two shots of espresso in a cold tall cup with ice and water and it will be cheaper than ordering a tall iced americano.
