269xxxx SSV hanging on by a thread(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by iStealSharpies
My store has call outs every day. We have late comers every day. My manager does not reprimand accordingly. Today I got in at 5:30, one opener called out and the other was 25 minutes late. I had to delay opening and I had A LOT of very upset customers in my face about it. I have a second job & truly I don’t even know why I’m still hanging on to Starbucks. I feel like I’m in an abusive relationship with the Siren & I have Stockholm syndrome. I’m so close to putting my 2 weeks in, it’s not even funny.

Have you spoken to you SM about this? If you have and they haven’t done anything about holding people accountable, I would suggest a transfer over quitting. This shouldn’t be typical SM behavior.

Yes I have, I’ve even spoken to the DM and also asked for a transfer. I’m still waiting for more info about my transfer but it’s been over a month

247 SSV here. Focus on what you CAN control. Which is honestly tough at times and is super unfair to you. But... Starbucks was there before you and will be there after you--regardless of what you do. Don't think you have to be a superhero. The mental stress is not worth it.
