Starbucks ASU Benefit (self.starbucksbaristas)

My son wants to work at SB to get the ASU Tuition Reimbursement. If he works in the city I live in for the first month, is he allowed to transfer to another SB to finsih satisfying the 20hours a week (240 hours in 3 months)? Or will he have to start his time over?

Thanks

The count won’t start over if you transfer. The biggest issue is likely to be getting a transfer so soon after hiring. I’d recommend waiting to start work until after he moves. It takes a while to get the hang of things and it’ll be especially hard to move to a different store with a different staff and layout right after training. Plus no manager is going to like getting a transfer request from someone they just hired.

I think you have to be there for 6 months to transfer, also I think it takes 3 months as well (from others stories) training also takes 40 hours, they usually don’t hire after you apply (they have a first sip, then computer training, you have orientation and things have to clear first) so he might end up still in training for that month.
