Hi! Canadian partner here! For the past 3 months I have been on a leave due to some mental health issues. I ultimately decided that going back to Starbucks wouldn't be ideal for my recovery (some legal drama happened with my former manager and me resulting in her being demoted) but now there is a new manager I have never met (and haven't heard good things about him either). I have already found a new job but I'm not sure how to go about resigning.

I have his email, so will I be okay just sending my resignation that way? Or are there any hoops I have to jump through first since I'm on leave? I'm due back on July 14th so definitely need to get this done sooner than later.
