Supervisor Interview (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Forest_Beetle
Hey everyone! My supervisor interview is coming up and have been trying to perfect all of my barista basics in preparation but I wanted to post here to get some different insights on what makes a good starbucks supervisor and how I should prepare myself in the best way!

It’s been a few years since I had my assessment but I remember being prepared with the LATTE model (honestly don’t remember what it all means now) and concrete examples of times I have coached other partners. They also asked me what I think the supervisor roll involves and I basically just gave like an itinerary of what my supervisors did every day. I think maybe they were trying to gauge my perception and that I actually know what I’m trying to do

Best of luck to you! If your manager is sending you, you’ve got it in the bag. You would t be sent if someone didn’t believe you were ready 😉

Thank you so much! I'm super nervous but I'm preparing as much as I can!

The SSV interviewers are really big on storytelling. What they are looking for you to explain in a story is, what happened, how did you approach the situation/coach the partners, how did the partner take the coaching, and what was the end result. I can not emphasize enough to you that they want a story.
