Fed up with the transfer process and not sure what to do (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by No_Dark_5917
Have been a partner for about 5 months and have to transfer stores because I'm moving to a new area within my state. The manager of the store I'm transferring to is almost impossible to reach. After weeks of trying to call the store and leaving messages for him I had to get my old manager to text him (he never responded) and eventually called during one of his shifts and met him in his store (he was over an hour late to the meeting lol). He was nice but only really talked about his store and was completely unhelpful in regards to how long this process would take.

It's been 10 days and I haven't heard a word for from him. I have texted my old manager who either doesn't respond or only replies with "no." I've called the store to leave a message for him and asked a shift to text him to reach out to me over the last 3 days but have heard nothing (have not gotten his number).

I was in good standing with the company and my store and he said I came highly recommended so I'm not sure what's happening or if this is normal. I feel like I'm being fired but no will will tell me a thing. Should I contact the district manager? No clue where to even get their number. Thanks for the help.

Managers will have a work phone number on a business card. If you can go in and ask for the managers card or call and ask for the managers number

I have just transferred to another state. You could also reach out to your DM and see if they can contact the DM where you plan on going to to help locate a store for you.

Also your SM should be able to provide you with your DMs number and/or work email

Hope this helps, I know it’s stressful

Hey I'm transferring in a few weeks and no clue how the process works. Im moving out of state and i already got the OK from the new manager and my manager, but no paperwork or anything has been filed. What do i do?

I would ask them to fill out a transfer form. You’ll need your signature, current SM and DM. This way when you find a store you already have the transfer form ready to go.
