advice on corrective action (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by dylanishappy
i got a corrective action today, and i was in the process of transferring stores before since i’m going back to college. i had asked my sm to transfer like two months before this happened, and he said i could and that he would reach out to the other stores sm. i never heard anything further regarding that, though. so, will this interfere with that? i’m considering just putting in my two weeks and trying to reapply once i’m at school. if i quit tomorrow will i be in bad standing with company/will i ever be able to get rehired? what’s in my best interest to do right now?

Technically you can’t transfer if you’ve received a final corrective within the last 6 months. Quitting and reapplying is a bad look, especially without working through the posted schedules. Managers can write in a comment section when they finalize your separation that follows your partner number and the new hiring sm has to review that before even reaching out to you for an interview.
You should just transfer vi the transfer request form and follow the procedure.
