Just a friendly reminder to my fellow baristas that it’s just a job (we’re all replaceable) and not to put in more work than you should. It’s busier and you’re down a person? Go the same speed. You aren’t getting compensated to go twice as fast so why should YOU have to work HARDER for the SAME pay? They want those drive thru drinks? They chose to come to Starbucks so they can wait. All I’m saying is I’m over entitled customers, shit pay and being overworked. I’ll probably be putting in my two weeks notice soon as I’m burnt out from the day to day purgatory that is Starbucks.

EXACTLYYYY!!! and if they wanted faster times then they should've scheduled enough people to handle the volume of 8-30 item orders we're getting now 🙃

As a shift that just had the worst close of my life, I dont even want to put in my two weeks. I don't know what i would do next.

3-year SSV here. Yesterday I had one of my closers call out so it was me and one other barista from 5-9 PM. Neither of us took any breaks and we got out over 30 min late.

Today, it was me and another newly-promoted SSV from 4-4:45 PM (so the food pull obviously didn’t get done) and I had 3 partners scheduled to come in at 4:45, but two of which haven’t even been at Sbux for a full 3 weeks and the other for only a full month. On our 50% CBS day, and I still had Clean Play today. I didn’t get to start my pastry pull until 10 PM. Tomorrow, I have the same team minus one partner. How am I supposed to run my shift when I’m given only trainees?

Yet the company will always say it’s the play or the repeatable routine that’s wrong with the picture, I am over them telling us we don’t get our plays ‘right’

I couldn’t have said it better myself. I was drained from a 4 hour shift and felt like I was dying this isn’t okay.

Thanks, I needed to hear this today ❤. The burnout is REAL, and I'm sorry you're going through it. Sending hugs
