New barista… (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by No-Fisherman9527
I started at Starbucks at the beginning of June. I remember during my interview my manager that have now told me that partners would be payed 15/hr. I mean I’m not severely counting on it but it would be nice to look forward to, but I looked further into it and it looks like it will only apply to partners that were hired before or on May 2nd. So I’m just confused what is correct or not and would like to know which is right, so I’m not think of something in the future that may not happen?

Also if you could please put down tips as how to get use to the hot bar recipes would be very nice?

Request bar training whenever you get the chance, you get better with experience. I actually really enjoyed being on hot bar, cold bar is hell on earth.

Try to focus on how the recipes are similar rather than how they're different. It'll help you to remember the stuff that's always the same. Like how all grande drinks will get two shots of espresso and four pumps of syrup, and then macchiatos get one less vanilla syrup (three for a grande).

That makes since. It’s just the memory for me.

I believe the before May 2nd rule applies to the 3% raise. Partners will receive either $15/hr, or 3% more than their pay at the time of May 2nd. Whichever number's higher will be their wage
