Drink standards (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Caffeineadick
So I follow the drink standards except for refreshers made with coconut milk. It’s made the exact same way but Ice is added before the coconut and it somehow manages to stick together without separating but I’ve recently been told I’ve been doing this Wrong and I need to switch to the proper way. Although it never mixes together well. Is there any way around the milk separating by following the standard?

Hey there, the reason why it’s important to follow the refresher routine steps is to ensure you get the right amount of ice in comparison to coconut milk measurements. If you are having trouble mixing the beverage in the shaker, always make sure to shake the coconut milk before pouring it from the carton; And shake the shaker vigorously about ten times and make sure that all of the liquid is mixing/blending with each shake. If its not, then do a bigger/wider shake.

Thanks for the info! I’ll be trying it next refresher, although could you explain by more wider movements?

100% if you put berries, base, ice and then coconut milk it doesn’t separate, if your store is more lenient I would give it a shot
