Really?? That’s ridiculous. . I think it’s down to your SM though. I (and lot of partners at our store) wear bright colored shoes to work quite often and have never had a complaint. I’m sorry you’re dealing with such nonsense :/

The dress code says as long as the base color is within the color palette and may have a small amount of accent color. I believe the stripe is considered a small accent color. With shoes the concern should be about the material and cut of the shoe for safety reason. Color I get if red was the color of the whole shoe but a stripe?!
