Hey y'all,

So I'm currently in the process of moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to pursue full time employment in my field of study. The pay for my job is a stipend that honestly isn't great, so I'm looking at getting a second job to supplement my income, even if for just the first few months until I can get to a better place financially. There is a Starbucks that is right down the street from my new apartment, which is also ideal because I worked for a licensed store for 3 years (March 2018 through May 2021), both as a regular barista and a lead barista.

My main question I guess would be, is it common for store managers to hire somebody with a two day a week availability, Saturday and Sunday, any shift? My full time job involves me working at a school so I'd be willing to pick up extra during school holidays, but those are the two days I'm guaranteed to be able to work on a weekly basis. I know it depends on the stores needs and whatnot, but is it common across many stores to need weekend baristas?? Is it even doable, or should I just save the effort? Starbucks was my favorite job I've ever had as well, so I'm sure that the environment and standards/procedures would come back easily for me.

Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you!
