If you start working on an off week, you'll be paid on the next cycle. Most places will usually hold two to three weeks pay when you first start and then you get a big ol check (i think your first one is a physical check, if i remember right? all of them after that should be direct deposit) combining the last two pay cycles, plus your one off week! So it should be next week that you get paid!
And that doesn't sound right for tips. Usually, they all get pooled into one big tip pool and then it's divided by the number of people working that week and the number of hours you worked during that week's pool. You should get some cash tips in, but it may not be much. Tips that are given through the Starbucks app get added to our pay stub, so that may be what you're thinking of! You can find out how much they are if you go into your partner benefits page.

My first paycheck confused me as well - you get paid biweekly but I got paid 3 weeks into working, but that was because I started on an “off week”. Depending on your payment set up, if you chose direct deposit you should see it added automatically into your bank account.
But just to be safe, make sure you count your hours that you’ve worked and that you get the right amount when you eventually get your paycheck in - taxes are taken out, so keep that in mind that the net income will be slightly different from gross income (total of everything before deductions and taxes)
Tips are distributed every Tuesday officially - but I’ve seen quite a few varying answers and methods from people in this subreddit on how their shifts / managers distribute tips. But they are handed out to you as cash.
(I’m not sure if tips can be added onto your paystub or if there’s an option that can do that, I’d personally like that for myself because more often than not I don’t work on Tuesday’s and whenever I do collect tips it might be every 2-3 weeks 😅)

Ask again about tips, we usually keep them in the safe with a list of everyone worked that week and their hours, and how much tips they get. My district does Tuesdays but might be different in others based on availability. You also might have to pay tax on cash tips depending on your countries law so if so keep that in mind. Some stores make better tips than others but a dollar an hour is pretty average in my area, but their is a store that makes 3 or more per hour during the summer. Try asking what average is for tips at your store.
When you get paid you will probably get a summery of it in the mail that will say how much in electronic (app tips) tips you got and how much was withheld for tax. It even “charges” you for your Spotify account even tho they give you the money in the same check so keep that in mind. I like to keep these just incase tax people get confused. But you might also be given this in an email or something. Your manager should be able to help you with all of this as part of the onboarding process

Payday was today, and you will get your electronic tips in that same check. Cash tips are usually given to ya on Tuesdays (at least in my area). Unless your working at a license store (like in a target, Albertsons, Disney land… etc).
