Did you give it a flappy-chino? A sample cup with our oatmeal nut mix?

Omg i used to have a handful of cockatiels! One of them would always mimic my moms coughing and laughing. When it would mimic my moms laughing, it would bob its head back and forth. Lol theyre soo cute

that was my first thought, how well behaved is the bird that it can be trusted right there?? 🦆🦆

My nana had birds and she would clip their wings every once in awhile so they can still flap around but the chances of them catching some air and flying away are pretty low!
pickled_goblin3 points1y ago
oh it must be different on cockatiels! my sibling has an african gray parrot and if I put my hand out for him to step up onto, he sometimes jumps too early and then he’ll kind of really awkwardly fly and bonk into a wall. his wings are clipped but he’s still a fairly big boy so it all must depend on size for them to catch air!

I don't know anything about birds, so maybe! I was really little when she had them. I may be misremembering but I think that's what she told me.

he just sat there so nicely and didn’t try to fly away when the window was down

Birds can be easily flight and recall trained. If their owner took the time to do so, no fear in letting birdies just out and about like a dog!
