i live with my boyfriend who just tested positive a few days ago. this morning i woke up with symptoms, but no positive test yet. i obviously won’t be able to go into work with symptoms, so could i get covid pay? i’m in california if that helps

I can't speak for CA specifically, but Starbucks policy is that you only get Covid pay after a positive test. Please talk to your manager though for policies more specific to your area.

I was in the same situation as you, but tested positive 3 days after my bf did. My manager told me we don’t get Covid pay anymore even with a positive test. I wouldn’t be surprised if she lied to me though…

omg how terrible of her! ended up speaking to my manager and she said i’ll get catastrophe pay. i would check with ethics and compliance because you deserve that money!
