People like this is why I quit. Customers of Starbucks are some of the most entitled, rude, not to mention spoiled people I’ve ever come in contact with. Never in my life will I allow someone to bully me over caramel sauce.
You come to the drive thru and expect your drink made in 30 seconds? Instant gratification has got people on a whole new level of awful.

Had a lady yell at me cause she “didn’t see any caramel” on her caramel macchiato. I put more and she says she STILL CANT SEE IT! So I put more. Guess what? She still claims there’s none. She calls me lazy, flips me off, and storms away.

This person and their gf always come through the drive thru, take 10 minutes before ordering, then order monstrosity drinks like this (today they ordered 3 all on different accounts and i could only manage to get this photo but the other two were exactly the same only with 2 affagato blonde long shots)

There will actually be more frappuccino than there will be cup in my experience. Stuff like this, half the drink goes down the drain. Don't get four shots in a frappuccino, kids.

Don’t allow that to be rung up!! Call out your partners on that cause stuff like this needs to stop being allowed. I had to go up to a customer who was pulling the whole “iced doppio espresso in a venti cup with light ice and milk to the top” thing and tell them they can’t do that because that’s a latte and they need to be charged as such. Allowing it to go by just makes it harder and harder for other baristas down the road. Definitely call them out on this and say this isn’t allowed due to the fact that we can’t sell trenta Frappuccinos and therefore they’re essentially getting more than what they paid for.

DT Orders like these made me wish Sbux would allow what other places do by having customers pull around or go park to wait for their order. Bc getting these done and handed off at the window as if it’s okay needs to stop. Customers need some Pavlovian level retraining on some of the shit they pull. If i’m asked to do that at a McDs or something I just shrug and figure I did it to myself because of my order. Oh well.
Corp needs to back their shit up and empower people to make smart business decisions and not feel like they’re going to be hung out to dry over some pouty child. I remember when I worked at a store in 2011 and our SM made us stick by the milk upcharge if the option was on the self-serve station and they were making a barista do it.
‘But i pay good money to have things done the way i want.’ Buy a fuckin Breville, visit a World Market to get the syrups and accessories, and learn to make that shit yourself at home.
Since when did being a 3rd place become letting those utilizing it have no regard for structures and norms.
Name other corporate places that provide a service that don’t keep customers accountable while providing a good service?

I still don’t know why partners allow customers to order drinks like this in a trenta cup. Immediate no. It’s Starbucks standard and I’d tell the customer no. If they’re mad they’ll go somewhere else or deal with it

We have been told it’s a legal liability (at least in CA) since there are no posted calorie count for a Trenta frap, latte, etc which is why we are not allowed to do it

Am I the only one who gets dusgruntled when ppl order a vanilla bean cream then add shots. Half the time they don't know about the Cafe vanilla and their differences.

We had a lady like this, she stopped coming after I told her she’ll have to pay for 2 different sizes since she started being stingy about the amount she got when we started giving her the standard venti amount instead of all of the extra. She was rude, never cleaned up after herself, always came 5 minutes before close, and even cussed me out after I told her this. Mind you this was our district manager’s orders after we told him about her. We’re not even supposed to be giving them Frappuccinos in Trentas so the fact that we were willing to for her, should’ve made her at least be a tad bit nicer to us.

If you're making it right you shouldn't have a lot left over, espresso doesn't get added after you measure out frap roast and milk it goes measured in with your milk and frap roast to keep consistency and flavor.

Oooh I think you're reading it wrong, or maybe I am based off the sticker it's s 4 decaf shots in the drink and only 1 on top. If they wanted 4 affogato shots the sticker would only say 4 affogato shots + decaf instead of quad. At least that would be correct way to put it in, this might also just be put in wrong as well and the drink might need 4 decaf affogato shots and in that case you're right they did pay for the shots and a venti frap. If they wanted they could just force the customer to order a trenta cup of water w/o water or ice and their frap separately, but it would just be a waste of cups. Our store just wouldn't allow it to be ordered in a trenta and suggest they order a grande in a venti w/ the affogato shots added amd thats the best we could do.
Edit: honestly this whole drink seems to have been put in wrong either way. If they did 4 decaf shots blended and only 1 on top they could've just charged a cafe vanilla frap decaf but instead they possibly charge this customer $4 to basically make their drink decaf with an add shot + affogato shot is another $1. So this person is essentially paying $10 instead of $7 for a decaf cafe vanilla frap with and add shot + affogato shot.
Edit: honestly this whole drink seems to have been put in wrong either way. If they did 4 decaf shots blended and only 1 on top they could've just charged a cafe vanilla frap decaf but instead they possibly charge this customer $4 to basically make their drink decaf with an add shot + affogato shot is another $1. So this person is essentially paying $10 instead of $7 for a decaf cafe vanilla frap with and add shot + affogato shot.

Untrue. You are confusing ordering a trenta sized frapp with putting an already properly built frapp into a trenta cup.
We cannot take an order for a frapp larger than a venti due to quality control per training, however we CAN accommodate a request to put a frapp I to a trenta sized cup after blending.
It wouldn't make sense your suggestion if you are wanting to make the sales number. This customer is paying close to 14$ for this one beverage. Why would we NOT accommodate them on putting it into a trenta whe. The additional shots add enough volume to fit into the trenta. You think it is appropriate to dump half their drink into a sink

Also your suggestion is poor in sales minded as you now have downsized as well as made it so that the overall balance of the drink will come out like a watery shit hole and you've lost 2-3$ in that upsell on the additional shots.
I cannot disagree clearly more with your thought process and if I was a customer at your store the outrage I'd feel at this direction would be phenomenal lol
