Hey guys so I just scheduled a consultation session through Lyra, has anyone used this benefit? How many sessions do we get and is it quality therapy? It’s all free right?

I got it mainly for anxiety so was able to schedule a consultation w a therapist specializing in anxiety

i think it’s 18 free sessions? not too sure but I’m on my last 3. It all depends on what therapist you work with so I’d say look through your options and see if their descriptions fit what you’re looking for. Personally I found a great therapist that I connect with really well my only compliant is the amount of sessions we get don’t feel like enough.

So what happens after your sessions end? Do they reccommend you to one under your main insurance and you just pick up where you left off if you choose to continue therapy? Or generally do you come up with a “short term” therapy plan and can go long term under another therapist if u want.

I’m not sure I haven’t ended my sessions yet! But i do know that they reset after a certain amount of time

I used it a few months ago. It was very structured, which I think wasn’t what I needed - I think I need general sessions. But it was cool. Totally free unless you miss a session. I hate that I had to do zoom calls because I don’t feel an emotional connection unless it’s in person, but they have some nice therapists on their rosters. I think you get 20 sessions but I could be wrong. And you can spread them out how you like if your therapist doesn’t object.

I lovvvve my therapist through Lyra, I have had a few fellow partners not be super jazzed about their first or second therapists but don’t give up, you’ll find the right fit. You get 20 free sessions a year that resets in October and you can see how many you have left if you lose count on sbuxben. I see my therapist every other week and we’ve sometimes canceled a week or picked up a week here and there to get the full 20 sessions before October. It’s one of my favorite benefits of the job and you don’t even have to work the 20 minimum that you do for health/dental/eye insurance.

when i worked there summer 2020 it was 20 free sessions, resetting in october. as other people have said, the quality really depends on the therapist! use lyra to look at your options, and do some research on them separately to see if their specialities line up with your issues. i use psychology today's website for this most often, and you can also use this site to see what insurance people will accept! though fair warning, my therapist that i met through lyra doesn't take any insurance. not sure if this is a common thing or just a one off but something to keep in mind.

I really liked my therapist through Lyra. It is all free but I can’t remember how many sessions we get. <3
