How do you deal with frustration when people don’t listen? (self.starbucksbaristas)

It’s with old and new people, you’ll tell them something and they won’t listen or they’ll give you push back. I want to do well at my job, I just hate the pushback I get when I ask baristas to meet me halfway. I generally like my job,but I’m not doing all of the cleaning or upkeep tasks when it’s a shift and barista duty.

two co-workers of mine do this. One is better than the other one, slightly but she still will leave the whole place a mess and it always pisses me off. The one I have numerous trouble with, I asked nicely but since she still does not listen, I just tell her to do it like I'm her mother or something. plus I schedule my shifts so I don't have to work with her because it literally urks me that she never does her job correctly. I have the proof she doesn't do it but my manager doesn't do anything (she is leaving next month so I guess she don't really care). I have to do this for my sake before I really just come unglue on her, like it's that much of a problem.

Just don’t do it. They eventually will do it if u remind them enough times.

Honestly I would’ve said I’m not asking u to do it. I’m telling u to do it.

Then don't! Just say you already did ___ and would like to be put on bar/register/other instead. If they make you clean way more than others and you've already told them you'd don't like meeting halfway, just start doing a really shitty job cleaning

I’m a shift. I can’t do a shitty job cleaning lol nice try though. I tried that as a barista, I HATED warming/oven at my DT store….and would just be slow…amazingly they caught on and just threw me to drive bar, rocking those 32 second drive times lmao

Haha nice!! Wish you luck as a shift though, had a similar situation at my old store and the shift in your situation quit and the cycle started again :(
