In the weekly update it said its be rolling out card tips by late 2022, whatever that means 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

HAHAHAHAHA. HOLY SHIT. You think that is going to happen. They have pushed our raises back 3 times now. Raised the cost of insurance twice. Yet they seem to have the ability to raise prices quarterly.

Starbucks does not want you to get credit card tips. They resent you for thinking that. Credit card tips makes them look like they can’t pay their employees a decent wage (which they could, but don’t because they don’t care) they want to appear employee friendly and having customers subsidize their employees wage removes the air of luxury to their brand.

Additionally, if a customer can tip that indicates the customer has more wiggle room for their transaction that they can collect in beverage price instead of given to you.

If you put pressure on the brand to add credit card tips, it will happen at the exact point where prices feel too high for a customer to spare a dollar for you.

But hey they added a “customers name” button so I guess the system isn’t as cumbersome as they implied?
