My first thoughts were definitely along the lines of 'are y'all in a coastal locale? Are there gulls or pelicans or something else commonly taking dinner breaks at the tables?'
Some VERY clumsy birbs who are also greedy then....wasting all those perfectly nice fish snacks! Don't they know there's starving chicks in the tropics that would just LOVE to have them?! (Starving kids in Africa guilting our parents would do when we threw out stuff....but π)
