submitted by covenhunter
Hi guys! I've been training for 2 weeks. I've been doing my RCOC starbucks modules too and stuff.

Recently, It's been getting difficult to talk to my cobaristas and I feel like a burden, outcast, and like I dont do well (and they lowkey make fun of me in a way that it makes me feel small)

If there's anyone I can talk to and ask stuff about recipes and such about Starbucks, that would be nice :((
I live in the Philippines and usually we have the same equipments/machines internationally right? We use manual like La Marzocco!

It would be nice if I can talk to anyone :(( I wanna be a barista but I'm already getting burned out bcos of my workmates and I cant share this to my store manager ever bcos I can already tell they wouldnt understand.

Not a trainer, but a returning mom batista. Dm me with any questions. Also please be direct with your coworkers if they are not helping the newbie. This is not how training is supposed to operate.

We were all there once, newbies I mean. That's a shame your team is doing you a dirty like that. Maybe speak with your manager. Starbucks culture isn't supposed to be like that. I'm a US partner and we haven't had La Marzocco machines since about 2003-2004? We've gone through at least 3 machines since then, verismo 801s, mastrena 1s and now onto mastrena 2s. Fully automated and can send error reports to the techs that service them. Semi- manual is the way to go though! Glad those sturdy dinosaurs are still in use in regular stores. We only have them in reserve stores/ bars. Keep your chin up!
