Customer Support help! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Upstairs_Mycologist7
Hello all, I've been a partner for a little over a year and am about to train my first green bean tomorrow! Apparently the barista basics has changed into barista first 30 and my first training shift is going to be entirely about customer support position. Now, my trainer was very brief about this and only told me how much she hated it lol. I'm not on the position too much (usually always on bar) but when I am I prioritize brew coffee then stocking.

My question is I know there is a "set" guide/steps to customer support but I really don't know it. Help explain exactly how the starbucks standard way would be?

you can find the customer support cycle cadence in your store resource app on any ipad in store

If you go to store resources on the iPad and then train a barista there is an activity set for each module you are to do with the green bean.

Your sm should give you a training plan with activities and times on it. Take the time it says to do your coffee connect and activity. I think day one has 2 activities and then practice CS cycle. (Does your store actually do those?)

If not it’s brew - restock - check cafe - perform cycle task.

So for example you would have your green bean brew - get ice, cups, make a couple back ups - lobby slide (wipe tables, push in chairs, check bathrooms) - cycle task until your brew timer beeps (garbage, restock rtd+e, dishes) and just repeat until you run out of time.
