August raise (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by lavaplanetsunaries
Where can I find more info on the August raise from home? This is the 2nd raise in a row (January too) that I dont qualify for for some reason and nobody can seem to give me a reason why. Im a 254, just recently promoted to ssv. I’ve already had more conversations with my sm than I can count, my dm is on vacation, and I feel so taken advantage of. I dont know what to do

thats what im trying to figure out. it doesnt make sense

You don't qualify because Starbucks doesn't care about you as an employee. It's only about the bottom line with toxic corporate entities like this and you should probably find a new job somewhere you will actually get that raise.
This is how Starbucks really treats its employees.

The January base rate adjustment was not really a raise but rather to ensure tenured partners were x% over the starting base rate for their area. If you were already at or over the base rate for your tenure then you wouldn't have seen a change at all. This means you were making the 'proper' amount over starting base rate for your role. Some partners saw a partial % and others saw the full %--this meant that they've been paid less for their tenure than they should have been.

August is increasing the starting base rate to $15 (+27% for SSV) as well as including an adjustment for tenured partners. You're a 2-5yr partner so you'd see a 5% increase.

thank you so much for explaining the january raise, nobody seemed to have a real reason when telling me
Perfect-Leadership58 2 points 1y ago
it doesn’t matter if you already make $15+ everyone who already makes that will be getting a 3% (i think) raise

What date did you get promoted to ssv? And what is SSV base pay in your area? You should be getting something.

Whatever reason that they have you saying that you don't qualify for it, I can pretty much guarantee that they are wrong.
fuwaldah 1 points 1y ago
How long have you been a partner and what is your current pay rate?
lavaplanetsunaries [OP] 1 points 1y ago
3.5 years , $19.05
