I don’t know who invented this deal but I probably solo’d a 50 person half on bar, had a customer say “I thought you were supposed to be fast at making drinks”, I’m scrambling to get an order of like 5 SARS done and…spilled 2 drinks on myself and couldn’t have someone cover for the bathroom. July can’t be over soon enough 😩

I got petty. Guys came in asking about it. I explain the offer and say “a drink is half off for rewards members. I just have to scan your card.” So they go to the corner and spend maybe fifteen minutes trying to get into the account because they really want this deal. I’m ringing other customers, doing it for them, ect…guys come back and say “we’re in!” So I scan the card and take their order. The total comes to like $7 dollars with tax and the guy says “did it work?” And I nod and say yeah, the coupon will only work for one drink…and he scrunches his face up…and then becomes a little prissy with me. Says black iced coffee, nothing in it. And then at bar he gives me grief because he actually wanted cream. Whatever I put a touch on top because 1/2”…he wants more…whatever I dump out 1/4-1/8th of the drink and top it and in the sweetest way say “have a GREAT DAY! Xoxoxo”. Don’t shop at Starbucks if you don’t wanna pay the prices! Lordy.

It's been a nightmare tbh. I was on bar and had a massive amount of shaken espressos, all with customizations. I had my cups lined up and was knocking them out and handing them to my coworker to pass to customers so I didn't break my flow and these two women were just talking shit, as loudly as they could. The could see how many drinks they had, we had a massive line in cafe, and they still had the nerve to complain that they had to wait 10 minutes for a 7 shot shaken espresso.

that probably means they already used it. some lady had come in at the beginning of my shift and used it and then half an hour later she swore up and down that she didn’t use the coupon even tho it was saying coupon not found and i literally saw her in the store earlier
alternatively, the coupon doesn’t work for people who just sign up or smth. i know it was giving customers grief who had just signed up that day and won’t work for new rewards accounts

Yepp i actually had a girl come in and order a drink and the coupon thing when i clicked on it on the discounts thing was not allowing it to go thru and said something like it was already redeemed or cannot be found or whatever. I told her this and she said "oh i mobile ordered. Is that why?" ...lol she knew it.it would say it on her app. She knew it was used but tried to see if she can get another one. Cuz i scanned it n tried multiple times. She only let me kno she mobile ordered after i told her the message that popped up lol. She would have seen it in the app when she ordered so i was just confused when she tried again with me in person

i went in today and my starbucks was empty! the mobile order pick up only had my drink, i was so glad for the staff but i do live in a very residential area so our starbies are usually slow. you're a trooper fr!!!

It was so understaffed at my location yesterday and I literally didn’t take either of my tens just my half because it was nonstop on cold bar. Customers were so rude and so pissed it only worked on one drink and kept saying “are you going to apply my discount” like… give me a damn minute?!

at my license store, we couldn't do it and lots of people got mad (which I was the one to be the person to talk to them because I have a monotone, flat note like voice. so raising my voice sounds like I'm yelling) and it was both a sweet thing and a pain in the ass-cot.
I don't know if it did work at ALL locations including us license stores but I know whatever I did, the deal wouldn't apply.

I can’t stand that you can’t give them a total prior to pressing the discount button and scanning their acct. so many customers ask me and im like “dunno, I have to apply the discount.” 😩 maybe it’s just me lol
