That is stupid rule and i always broke it. I am not going to stand and wait there for a drink to be made when i can easily make it myself.

ngl this is a bad take- the only reasonable way to do this is to place your order a few minutes ahead of time while you're still on the floor, which can be hard to manage. i would never let my baristas wait a full 30 minutes for their drink while they're supposed to be on a 10. ridiculous

As someone who has three people on staff the only thing I get picky about is marking them out. So long as they’re accounted for I don’t care who makes them.

So glad I work in a store with reasonable management who lets us do things like make our own drinks. Like, you think I have time to wait on line for a drink on my 10? There’s usually a line of at least 10 people in my store, even off peak.

I think if you WANT to make your drink, and your manager allows it, that’s fine.

But even if you’re allowed to make your own drink, you don’t HAVE to, and to give a coworker a hard time for not making their own drink is ridiculous

LOL NAH one time i ordered a drink on my break and the coworker on bar passive aggressively was like “so am i making your drink or not because i’m too busy”
