I started at a new store today and they told me theres a new rule where we don’t hand out utensils with food items unless the customer asks for them. Wouldn’t you want a fork for your egg bites though???

If you are in California it is a new state law that went into effect on July 1st. All single use plastics legally can not be offered to customers and may only be given by customer request, this includes straws, utensils, and stoppers.

Probably like the swap to being strawless, some people carry their own utensils to be more environmentally friendly so if we don’t assume it kinda normalizes that? That’s just a guess tho lol

Makes sense actually 😂 i was just nervous for the customers that get mad and are like “do you expect me to eat these with my hand?”
