blend that with cream base and it tastes like a snowball, my coworker put me on to that and i’m obsessed
Eastern_Effective_4932 points1y ago
Water, cream, & raspberry syrup? Should I add milk too lol or
ObitoUchiha417 points1y ago
I think they mean the frap base
Buttafly_3602 points1y ago
Right that's wht i wanna know lol
ladysingtheblues93 points1y ago
Don't you ring that up as a custom tea and charge more for it?
reddjedett88 points1y ago
Ah, yes. The days when we first got the custom iced tea button and all the "matcha water" customers yelled about having to pay $2.00 more.
I had a lady \[surprised pikachu face\] at me when I told her the price for a water with strawberry pieces in it. She was so stun-locked; because, her daughter saw on tiktok that the drink was only like $0.50 or whatever. And I was like "ma'am, our company policy is to charge for a custom iced tea" ... I feel like I reverse-uno them with the Karen'ing when I use that phrase. It's actually satisfying.
Kit-Kat_23 [OP]31 points1y ago
Idk we just charged for the pumps. We probably should have charged extra though because it smelt absolutely foul.
piratedashel69 points1y ago
You ring it up as a custom tea. We don’t just charge for modifiers. This was an issue years ago and that’s the official company policy.
SNES182-50 points1y ago
Get off it. Water is free anyway.
AshlingA28 points1y ago
Water is free, you add to it and you’re trying to flex across a system that’s not built to care about you, so you pay or they lose hours for letting you get away with it. It’s a vicious cycle, the company made.
Torirock1020 points1y ago
water is free but adding stuff to it isn’t
immortxlsoul10 points1y ago
Cue the "she doesn't even go here" line. I quite honestly don't give a single shit if you don't wanna pay five dollars for water with strawberries. that's your own damn fault for wanting the drink in the first place tbh. Water might be free but the ingredients are not. And we can't sell ingredients. as my store manager says, "you don't go to McDonald's and ask for a piece of cheese" and even if you did, most aren't going to give out ingredients. so why come to us and ask for a water with strawberry pieces or syrup or whatever and expect us to give it to you for just the price of the ingredient. that's not how it works. and I for one, wanna uphold standard so that one, other stores don't get yelled at by customers for also following standard and two, I keep my hours.
AshlingA46 points1y ago
It’s policy to do the custom tea because it’s a loss of money and that profit loss equates to your hour shortages that seem rampant again. So glad I promoted myself to customer. But yeah, protect your hours by saving their profit margins
Assiqtaq4 points1y ago
The smell is strong with the raspberry syrup, but the taste is actually very mild. I do this with soda water and the raspberry syrup. Its good.
AshlingA24 points1y ago
That what’s supposed to be done but a lot of people do not do it because the entitlement is strong with the customers
grlcbr8th22 points1y ago
Yep this happened to me the other day when we charged a lady for a custom iced tea and it was a big fight because “tHeY dO iT fOr Me At tHe OtHeR sTaRbUcKs”
P_2_P9 points1y ago
I’ve started saying “oh which Starbucks is that because they really shouldn’t be doing that.” This shuts them up fairly quick
grlcbr8th3 points1y ago
Yep that’s what this lady was told too “well they’re wrong” like if another sbux is consistently doing this for you why don’t you just keep going there then thank u 🙃
Imaginarybluntallday1 points1y ago
Literally yesterday, and then I made her drink after ringing her up even though there were like five partners. She was not too pleased that the person on bar was the one who “over charged her unlike other Starbucks”
jams101562 points1y ago
That'll be $5, Marcus. Want a scoop of berries, too?
Ok-Welder618529 points1y ago
This actually helps me to drink water at work...
aspiringgrandpa13 points1y ago
lmao my coworker gets this and he said the same thing
AshlingA11 points1y ago
I found it helps me a lot of people, I began suggesting it to those having hydration issues. I do less pumps lol but yeah I found this is quite helpful for the candy pushed nation lol
Ok-Welder61852 points1y ago
Also! Adding in a few strawberries can help, as well. It changes the color and the taste just slightly, which helps trick my brain into thinking I'm not drinking water ;)
kidcharliemagne22 points1y ago
dawg das a custom ice tea
amylynnee4518 points1y ago
Custom tea charge
OvenPlatter15 points1y ago
🌟*CUSTOM ICED TEA* 🌟
Luxanet10 points1y ago
They’re trying to make that low-budget Vitamin Water! 😂
rnaggie539 points1y ago
Please charge them For a custom tea lemonade. I know it’ll be a fight but keeping consistency helps other stores. We can’t change for just ingredients it has to be a base drink
Ambitious-Industry-89 points1y ago
A partner at my store gets water with peppermint added and calls it “Pep Wa”
SNES1829 points1y ago
I actually used to do this back with the Pineapple Ginger syrup. It’s delicious.
Mea-fae_Owl736 points1y ago
Thank you everyone who has commented about charging for custom tea. It has been a battle for years at my store. It’s nice to see so many uphold the policy/standard. I hate that we can’t even be consistent in my own store
champshere4 points1y ago
I’m surprised they didn’t ask you to shake it
banpants_3 points1y ago
Back when I worked for starbs I used to always do a half and half of lemonade, water and some raspberry syrup pumps. It was so good.
goddessofwaterpolo2 points1y ago
ngl this is exactly how I drink my water now ever since I got curious and tried it after a customer asked for it lol. I’m at a different company now and still add raspberry to my water.
Anonymia11012 points1y ago
we had one of these yesterday but w strawberry inclusions. what’s going on???
Professional-Cat3931 points1y ago
I used to do this when I started with just like one pump but then I found out where raspberry flavor comes from🥴
_Subhumanfilth1 points1y ago
You better custom tea that bitch.
Ok_Visit_19681 points1y ago
Spicy.
immortxlsoul1 points1y ago
This actually helps me drink more water.
almostdied_at7111 points1y ago
I used to do this, and keep a bottle of lemon juice in my car and make raspberry lemonade
