How do tips get divided up? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I used to work at an ice cream shop years ago and they would put your tips in a sandwich bag with your name on it.

the tip jars are counted and divided by how many hours were worked that week. We multiply that number by how many hours each individual partner worked to determine how much to put in each bag :)

correct. they calculate an average amount per hour we’re getting in tips (ex. $1.00/hr) and if you worked 25 hours you’d be paid accordingly (:
