Rumors (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Adventurous_Board933
Would you say something to your store manager if you found out that a certain shift crew was gossiping and spreading very offensive and fake rumors about you?

I would if you know your store manager is the proactive sort. Even if the manager isn’t, contacting ethics won’t do much unless you’ve basically gone up the chain anyway. I do think what your shift crew is doing is really shitty, nobody deserves extra harassment from coworkers when customers are already enough to deal with.

I would work a shift with them and say "well I suppose my reputation proceeds me" 😈

i told my sm when that happened to me and she basically dismissed it. she made fun of me to an SSV and said “the kids are fighting”. definitely tell your SM if they’re the kind that are really about unity and are stricter on rules but otherwise you prolly can’t hope for much. it could still be helpful to tell your SM regardless

Yeah, that’s absolutely not living the vision mission and values, and they could be written up.

I would, shifts are supposed to be the example and gossip is a poor one
