I work in a unionized store. Existing benefits like insurance, tuition coverage, and Spotify, have not changed. We will still be getting pay raises in August. It would be illegal for Starbucks to decide to take away benefits from stores that have unionized.
They *have* said unionized stores won’t be getting additional improvements that were announced in the last couple of months, and that a couple of stores in the Buffalo NY area will miss out on the August pay raises. This is being disputed by the union and the federal government because Starbucks could simply *ask* unionized stores if we wanted those benefits, but they’ve chosen not to ask us, making it effectively a retaliation, although it’s a legal gray area.
In the long run, unionized stores negotiate their benefits with Starbucks. Theoretically, existing benefits could change in the future, but no US stores have contracts yet, and it’s not like we’re trying to negotiate away the benefits that we all use.

There really isn’t any info yet. Unionized stores are currently in the negotiation phase of their contracts, so currently nothing has changed, except Starbucks saying “unionized stores won’t be eligible for these changes in benefits”
