a strange interaction i thought i’d share (self.starbucksbaristas)

this man walks into the cafe, comes to the register, and orders a coffee. simple enough. he pulls out his card, ready to pay, and i request a name to put on the cup. he proceeds to look around at the floor, avoiding eye contact. after a long pause, he just mutters “fuck” and says “no name”

Busy store is one, but if they step away for the bathroom or something it’s a great way to get their attention because I’m horrible with remembering names
