iced cappuccino? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by burntstarbuckscoffee
Somebody asked for an iced cappuccino today, we can't do that, right? Or can we? How would we?

It used to be a drink option, when they got rid of it I believe they said that we should suggest that they get an iced latte with regular cold foam (100 mL nonfat milk + 2 full pumps vanilla syrup blended on 3)

Regular cold foam isn’t a button anymore either.

Also gets no vanilla just non fat

as the other commentors said, you can ring it up and build it as an iced latte with (nonfat) cold foam, or as a cappuccino, add ice (and/or put “iced” in Ask Me). last i heard, the former was the official recommendation (if not technically a standard); the latter is what we usually do at my store.

that said, you might get closer to what they’re looking for - and this is what i was taught recently - by actually making the drink as espresso shots over ice, splash of milk, (nonfat) cold foam

it’s not offered on the menu anymore, but essentially it’s like an iced latte with cold foam. the nonfat milk with vanilla cold foam! usually we do it at my store since not a lot of people order it. we just ring them up as a cappuccino and put iced in the ask me

You don't use sweet cream, you just foam plain non-fat milk.

I think they meant vanilla in the non fat milk. I have heard different about this standard, though.

I just say that we don’t have iced cappuccino, but we have iced latte.

iced cappuccino is just an iced latte with nonfat cold foam on top

That's what I did, and that's what they wanted

If you're in Canada, they might be referring to a Tim Hortons Ice Cap, which is akin to a coffee frap. So ask if they're looking for something foamy or blended :)
