So my manager texted me telling me that there’s a new policy with partners.
“Hey partners!! I know some of you have not been in store for a while so I wanted to update you on a new policy. Partners must work a minimum of 12 hours a week and be available for 18. I cannot schedule anyone under 12 hours. If you are a college partner looking to transfer and can meet this new policy let me know immediately if not please let me know when you last day will be! If you have any questions please let me know or feel free to give me a call!!”
so.. now I can’t stay with starbucks even if i need to go on college leave? i don’t plan on working bc i study out of state and my major is very time consuming. so, i’d just work for summer. but i guess i’d have to reapply?? each time or idk someone help T-T pls

Starbucks never offered an education leave of absence in the first place. Typically ppl who leave for uni transfer to another store near their uni in order to stay with the company while transferring home every summer.

Yep, anyone not averaging 12 hours a week by October is to be separated. Your sm was supposed to have individual conversations with anyone this might affect. So yes, you'll have to re-apply each summer.
