I just don’t know anymore. I hate everyone I work with. I dread walking into the store. Seriously affecting my mental health. I’m only keeping this job due to the lack of jobs in my small down.
But does anyone else feel this way about their location?

You’re not the only one, you’re Burnt out, it’s just like any other fast food place, the pacing and customer service gets to you over time, the only reason I haven’t quit is that 15/h pay raise that no other job in my area can match without a significant decrease in hours

i feel u 🙁 i like my coworkers & discounts/markouts but thats abt it. the job affects my mental health so badly, i think its crazy how some of my coworkers seem unphased by the workload/dealing with customers. i feel like starbucks treats us like robots. some ppl just arent built for it tbh and thats ok 😭 every day i swear i question why im still working there. i wanna quit but rly dont wanna start a new job cuz ive only been working for starbucks for a few months. i feel stuck lmao

I half love half hate my coworkers. The job itself is more stress than it’s worth. The pay sucks and the benefits aren’t all that great either. Maybe it’s due to living in my car right now and the stress with that cos when I first started I loved it. I love my boss that’s the only reason I stay and a few coworkers who actually care and ask me how the fuck I am when my mental health is in a bad place the rest can get fucked cos they treat me like some homeless drug addict

Honestly when I was new I felt really left out. I remember people laughing at me because I asked questions or didn’t know how to do something. It ended up getting better after a few months. With retail people come and go so often so the people you work with now won’t be there in a couple of months most likely. You could always request a transfer or change your availability to work with different people.

Take a break. Don’t work for a few months. You need a reset, hon. It’s ok. We are not meant to hustle like this. Go rest.

Oh damn. Sorry. There’s mad toxic Starbucks out there. My location is pretty neat but I’ve been to bad Starbucks before

While yes, I do think that is a great idea, and it’s wonderful that they offer that. My mental health was in great condition before this job. There are so many issues that are occurring in my store. That I know, effect me, and one my supervisors that I talk to.

solidarity! my mental health was in great shape pre-starbucks. now i have anxiety and wake up freaked out and nauseous whenever my alarm goes off even though i quit a month ago. i hope to some day fully recover from being employed there. wishing you the best! i wish i had more to offer you besides sympathy ❤️‍🩹
