I wear a pin with a cat holding a lesbian flag in his mouth and a pin of the welsh flag. I also have a pin with my pronouns on it. None of them were issued by Starbucks - as long as your SSV is cool with it then it’s fine (even tho ur technically not supposed to wear pins that weren’t issued by Starbucks)

That pin sounds cool! :)
Technically the policy is only starbucks issued pins with the exception of 1 pin supporting a labor organization
But honestly if your ssvs/sm is cool with it, then you're all good so it wouldn't hurt to ask

It’s a little bit manager roulette with this one. If they want to be an asshole they can keep you from wearing Starbucks stuff. That said, I have pride, university, and coffee related pins that are not Starbucks issued, and exactly zero people have had a problem with it in just over a year (I’ve been around @ 4 stores in my area so it’s not just the one). Most ppl I work with choose to put pins on their hat or visor instead of their apron since aprons naturally have to be washed more often and it’s a pain to have to keep removing them from your apron.
Also personally as a ssv as long as you don’t have something discriminatory in your pins I simply do not care—I’m expected to worry about way too many things to care about nitpicking your pins.
